Five Colones Collection
Inspired by the iconic ‘Allegory of Trade and Agriculture’ that adorns the ceiling of the National Theatre of Costa Rica, the Cinco Colones Collection celebrates one of the country’s greatest artistic and architectural treasures. This historic work, also immortalised on the former five-colón banknote, symbolises the development, prosperity and cultural wealth that helped build the Costa Rican nation.
The front of the banknote features the Guaria Morada, Costa Rica’s national flower, whose beauty has been carefully incorporated by Fabiola De Ford to enrich and soften the composition. Its delicate blossoms lend elegance, colour and a deep sense of national identity, creating a harmonious dialogue between historical heritage and nature.
Through a contemporary artistic reinterpretation, each design transforms these iconic symbols into a wearable work of art. The collection combines history, architecture, botany and luxury textile design, bringing to life collectable silk scarves that connect the wearer with the cultural essence of Costa Rica.
More than just an accessory, each piece is a celebration of a nation’s beauty, history and artistic legacy.
