Artwork: Guanacaste Wood Woman and Woman and Pitayero Deer

Fabiola De Ford

From the series ‘Mujer Madera Guanacaste’, 2026

Technique: Acrylic on canvas

Dimensions: 45 × 61 cm

The encounter between the deer and the pitahaya places the work within the world of the Guanacaste dry forest. The female figure, interwoven with the shapes and grain of the wood, shares the space with a natural world that nourishes and sustains. The earthy tones and pink accents create a scene of intimacy between the body, the landscape and wildlife.
